Our organic SCIÙ SCIÙ, confit cherry tomatoes in oil, are a gourmet preparation, grown in our garden. They come from the datterino miele variety, naturally very sweet, selected for its unique and intense flavor, and characterized by a slightly dehydrated yet soft texture.
PROCESSING: hand-harvested, then cut in half and arranged on trays with the inner side facing upward. They are oven-cooked at low temperature (120°C–150°C) for about two hours to preserve flavour, texture and aroma. They are then jarred using artisanal methods.
TASTE: an explosion of sweetness and Mediterranean aromas, thanks to the tomato variety and the dehydration process that concentrates flavors while maintaining a soft and juicy pulp.
PAIRINGS: ideal as a topping for bruschetta, pizzas, focaccia and gourmet sandwiches. Excellent for gourmet salads with grains and fresh vegetables, as a side dish or as a sauce for pasta and risotto.
NUTRITION & BENEFITS: rich in lycopene, a powerful antioxidant, with a low glycemic index. They contain potassium, phosphorus, iron, zinc, selenium, and vitamins A and C, supporting the immune system, cardiovascular health and eye health.
